In order to ensure the safety in the area, many public places will now install monitoring equipment to achieve the purpose of real-time grasping and video review. In the event of an emergency, valid evidence can be retained. At this time, our front-end display equipment will use LCD Splicing screens, especially some large-scale monitoring and command centers, such as public security, traffic police, energy chemical industry, schools, prisons, etc. LCD splicing screens have become the preferred equipment for security monitoring displays. In some small monitoring applications, such as family villas, banks, and schools, there are not many monitoring points in these occasions, there may be only a dozen. If you use a professional LCD splicing screen, it may be a bit wasteful, and the budget will increase a lot. At this time, our users will wonder if they can use the TV?

First, it may be used, but there are certain limitations

1.Can't start continuously all day

The biggest difference between the TV and the LCD splicing screen is that the LCD panel used by the LCD splicing screen is an industrial-grade panel, which can withstand the requirement of continuous startup 24 hours a day, and it will not damage the panel. The panel of the TV did not meet this requirement at the beginning of the design, because home TVs basically do not turn on continuously. Normally, it will be a few hours a day. If you do not turn off the panel, it is easy to burn out the panel. So if we use a TV to display surveillance video, it's not easy to cope with it unless it is temporary and it is not turned on all day.

2, can not be spliced, only single screen split

The LCD splicing screen is industrial-grade in addition to the panel. Its splicable function is also its unique feature. After splicing multiple screens, we can control a channel of video to be enlarged to display on multiple screens to achieve cross-screen and splicing display effects. So we can zoom in on any screen and see the details more clearly.

The TV itself does not have the splicing function, so even if multiple TVs are put together, the video picture cannot be displayed across screens, but can only be displayed in full screen or in a single screen.

Second, Professional display equipment other than LCD splicing screen

If our budget is limited, but we want to use professional monitoring and display equipment, then we can consider using an LCD monitor. Its advantage over TV is that its panel is industrial-grade and supports continuous booting, so there is no need to worry about the panel being damaged. Problem, and its price is lower, and there are many options for the size. At present, the small one is about 22 inches, and the large one is 100 inches. We can choose according to our specific needs.

However, the limitations of LCD monitors cannot be spliced, and can only be split-screen display within a single screen, but it is more durable than TVs, and there is no need to worry about the opportunity to burn the panel continuously, so it may be a compromise. So if we want to build a small monitor display terminal, if the price of the LCD splicing screen is too high, it is not recommended to use a TV, because most monitors are turned on all day, so we can focus on understanding the LCD monitor.
