Power Consumption: Capacitance screen of industrial monitor is more power-consuming than resistance screen.
Cost: Capacitance screens are more expensive. Capacitance screens from different manufacturers are 10% to 50% more expensive than resistance screens, while resistance screens are cheaper.
Feasibility of multi-touch: Capacitance screen multi-touch can be achieved, depending on the way of implementation and the software used, has been achieved. The multi-touch of resistance screen can not be realized.
Visual effect: Capacitance screen and resistance screen have good visual effect indoors, but the visual effect is obviously different outdoors, especially in the sunlight. Capacitance screen has better effect, but resistance screen has poor visual effect because of the additional screen layer reflecting sunlight.
Environmental adaptability: The operating temperature of the capacitive screen is between 0 ~35 C, requiring at least 5% humidity. Cleanliness: Capacitance screen should be touched by finger, which is easy to leave stains on the screen, but because the outermost layer is glass, it is easy to clean. The resistance screen supports the operation of stylus and nails, so it is not easy to dirty the screen.
Resistance: The outer layer of capacitance screen is silica glass protective layer, which may be fragmented under severe impact. The outer layer of the resistance screen is a thin film, which needs to be pressed down to sense pressure. Moreover, the resistance screen supports the stylus, which makes the screen easy to scratch. It needs a protective film and relatively frequent calibration, but it is not easy to break down than the capacitive screen.
Accuracy: Capacitance screen can achieve several pixels in theory, but in fact, due to the limitation of finger contact area, it is difficult for us to accurately click on the target less than 1 cm. The accuracy of the resistance screen is at least as high as a single display pixel, which can be seen with a stylus. It is convenient for handwriting recognition and helps to operate under the interface of using small control elements.
二、The following are the ways to choose, which can be chosen according to the needs of different purposes:
If industrial monitors only use basic functions, they should use resistance screens, because the cost of resistance screens is low.
If the industrial monitor needs a longer standby time, the resistance screen should be selected, because the capacitance screen is more power-consuming than the resistance screen.
If the industrial monitor needs multi-touch function, the capacitive screen should be selected, because the resistance screen can not support this function at present.
If the industrial monitor needs to use a stylus, the resistance screen should be selected, because the working principle of the capacitance screen causes that the capacitance screen does not support the stylus.
If the industrial monitor is often impacted during use, the resistance screen should be selected, because the capacitance screen is fragile under impact.
If industrial monitors are often used in the sunlight, capacitive screens should be selected, because the resistance screens reflect in the sunlight to affect the use;
If the working environment of industrial monitor is relatively dry, the resistance screen should be selected, because the capacitance screen has humidity requirements for the working environment, and the resistance screen does not;
If the working temperature of industrial monitors fluctuates greatly and exceeds 00-350, resistance screens should be selected, because the working temperature of capacitance screens is Wei 00-350, which is beyond this range, the working effect of capacitance screens is not good, and the working temperature range of resistance screens is relatively wide.
