Wow!!! Ocean Congestion-Expect delays all of shipments

Currently there are multiple factors outside of our control that are contributing to ocean shipment delays throughout the U.S. and Canada. A strong freight demand has resulted in increased congestion at the ports and rails which have been exacerbated by chassis shortages, equipment imbalances, and driver shortages.
Our customers have received a letter regarding this (available here) and are being encouraged to:
• Increase flexibility with timeframes for container loading and/or receiving as options are extremely limited;
• Plan for additional lead time;
• Provide as much advance notice as possible, including booking shipments three to four weeks early.
