n 2018, BOE's LCD panel shipments took the top spot, but this time it was the first to win the first shipment area at the same time.

At present, the types of panels on the market are mainly LCD, OLED, microLED, etc. Among them, the latter two emerging panels are gradually strengthening their market position, but LCD shipments still account for the largest proportion, which is also one of the focuses of manufacturers.

It is reported that the latest statistics of IHS Markit show that in the whole year of 2019, the total area of LCD TV panel shipments of BOE reached 30.1 million square meters, an increase of 23.8% year-on-year, ranking first in the world for the first time, surpassing LG Display. Three to five are Samsung Display, Huaxing Optoelectronics and Innolux, all of which have declined.

It is worth noting that BOE's LCD TV panel shipments took the top spot in 2018, but this is the first time it has won the first shipment area.

Beyond LG Display, BOE's LCD panel shipment area ranked first in the world for the first time

In terms of product segmentation, the share of 4K panels has increased by 6 percentage points to 45.2% in shipment panels, and IHS Markit expects to continue to increase this year. Among them, the 4K LCD TV panel shipment share of Huaxing Optoelectronics reached the first place in December, at 16.7%; but last year, BOE won the first place with 16.4%.

In addition, in the field of automotive LCD panels, the ranking of manufacturers has also changed slightly: LGD beat JDI to take the first place, and BOE has also increased its share to 11.3%. In addition, LGD has started mass production of OLED panels for vehicles since the beginning of the year.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that in response to this epidemic, BOE stated that it is actively adjusting its business strategy based on the progress of epidemic prevention and control, and actively communicated with relevant government departments and upstream and downstream partners in the industrial chain to reduce the impact of epidemic prevention and control to lowest.

"The company has fully resumed work on February 10th. At present, the production and operation of factories in BOE are all normal. At present, from the perspective of production line operation, the resumption of work is carried out in an orderly manner, and the supply of raw materials will face certain challenges. The time is expected to slow down. "

It is not difficult to find that due to the impact of the epidemic, BOE's shipments in the first quarter of 2020 are bound to fluctuate.
