Working principle
Infrared touch screen works
The infrared touch screen is an infrared matrix densely placed in the X and Y directions in front of the screen. By continuously scanning whether infrared rays are blocked by the object and detecting the user's touch. As shown in the figure below, this type of touch screen is equipped with an outer frame on the front of the display, and a circuit board is designed in the outer frame, so that the infrared transmitting tube and the infrared receiving tube are arranged on the four sides of the screen, and the infrared matrix which is horizontally and vertically intersected is formed one by one. After every scan, if all the infrared tubes are accessible, the green light is on, indicating that everything is normal.
When there is a touch, the finger or other object will block the horizontal and vertical infrared rays passing through the position. When the touch screen scans and finds that there is an infrared light blocked, the red light is on, indicating that the infrared light is blocked, there may be a touch, and immediately change to another The coordinates are re-scanned. If another axis is found, there is also an infrared block, and the yellow light is on, indicating that the touch is detected, and the position of the two infrared traps that are found to be blocked is reported to the host, and the position of the touch point on the screen is determined through calculation.
Infrared touch screen products are divided into two types: external and built-in. The external mounting method is very simple, and it is the most convenient to install on all touch screens, as long as the frame is fixed in front of the display with glue or double-sided tape. The Antu electronic external touch screen can also be fixed to the display by hooks for easy removal without leaving traces. [1]

Technical characteristics
Infrared touch screen technology features
The advantage of an infrared touch screen is that it can be touched with a finger, a pen or any object that blocks light. The disadvantage of the infrared touch screen is that it is not good when used on a spherical display. This is because the infrared grating matrix on which the work is based obviously needs to be secured on the same plane. Therefore, the working plane of the true inductive touch has a larger distance from the curved display screen. Interval, especially at the corners, but this disadvantage does not exist on flat panel displays, such as liquid crystal displays.
It can be said that it is used on a flat panel display, and the infrared touch screen has considerable advantages. The infrared detection technology can obtain a simple infrared detection method by using an infrared emission tube and an infrared receiving tube (referred to as an infrared pair tube) of the same wavelength:
As long as an object blocks the connection between the infrared pair tubes, the receiving signal drops sharply, so infrared rays can detect the blockage of the object, and are widely used in systems such as anti-theft systems, automatic sensing systems, and counters.
