It is expected to be heavy in the second half of 2020. The Micro LED, which was originally thought to have been available for at least five years, will have a small production test in the fastest 1-2 years as the number of input manufacturers increases and process technology breaks through.
At present, mainland China, Taiwan and South Korea have actively attacked the Mini LED market. The Taiwanese LED factories such as Jingdian, Yiguang and Ronda have entered a small shipment stage. Industry sources pointed out that Mini LED demand will continue to grow.
Huatai Securities analysis pointed out that due to the high resolution, high contrast, high color saturation and other advantages of Mini LED, it is expected that the penetration rate of Mini LED will be greatly improved in 2020, which will drive the industry to return to temperature. From 2018 to 2020, the size of China's Mini LED market is expected to maintain an increase of around 175%. In 2020, the size of the Mini LED market will reach 2.2 billion yuan. The research institute recently estimated the penetration of Mini LED backlights in IT, TV and tablet applications in 2024, or 20%, 15% and 10%.
