1. The performance of core components is different:
The CRT monitor uses a special picture tube to recognize and recognize colors stronger than the CRT monitor, and can more realistically reproduce the collected source images.
The LCD monitor says that it uses a dedicated liquid crystal panel, and its physical performance is higher than the equivalent display, such as viewing angle, response time, brightness, etc.
Second, the input signal interface is different:
Monitor input AV analog video signal, and compatible with some other signal sources such as VGA, YPbPr;
Computer monitors generally only input VGA signals of RGB three primary colors and are used to connect computers.
3. Different resolutions:
CRT monitors can generally reach 625 lines (interlaced) / 1250 (progressive) lines, and the number of CRT scanning lines is obviously low.
The resolution of an LCD monitor of the same size is comparable to that of an LCD monitor.
4. Different radiation levels:
CRT monitors generally use a metal shell to shield electromagnetic radiation, and the plastic shell of CRT monitors is not strong against radiation.
LCD monitors and displays basically do not radiate electromagnetic waves, but LCD monitors are usually all-metal enclosures that have a significant effect in shielding external strong electric field interference.
Fifth, the refresh rate is different: the refresh rate of ordinary color monitors should be below 50Hz (analog), and the average computer monitor can easily reach 75hz.
